The Sales & Marketing Officer – Merchant Acquisition is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and building strong relationships with local merchants to ensure mismo has a diverse, reliable, and high-quality partner network. This role plays a key part in mismo’s growth, directly influencing the range of products and services available to customers.

During the pre-launch phase, the role focuses on identifying and approaching potential merchant partners across Tacloban City, clearly communicating mismo’s value proposition, and guiding merchants through the onboarding process. This includes collecting required documents, assisting with platform setup, and ensuring merchants understand operational workflows, pricing structures, and service standards.

Once mismo is live, the Sales & Marketing Officer continues to manage merchant relationships by providing ongoing support, addressing operational concerns, and helping resolve service-related issues. The role also involves monitoring merchant performance, gathering feedback, and collaborating closely with the Branch Manager, Admin Assistant, and central team to improve merchant satisfaction and service quality.

This position requires a proactive, outgoing individual with strong sales, marketing, and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate communicates effectively, solves problems efficiently, and actively contributes to the growth of mismo’s local merchant ecosystem while helping partners succeed on the platform.

Responsibilities

  • • Identify, recruit, and onboard local merchants across Tacloban City
  • • Explain MISMO’s platform, benefits, and operational guidelines
  • • Collect merchant documentation and assist with setup
  • • Monitor merchant performance and provide support as needed
  • • Maintain strong relationships and address merchant concerns
  • • Coordinate with the Branch Manager and operations team

Must Have

  • • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • • Experience in sales, business development, or account management
  • • Ability to manage multiple merchant accounts simultaneously
  • • Local knowledge of Tacloban City businesses and market

Nice to have

  • • Experience in e-commerce or delivery platforms
  • • Familiarity with food, retail, or service-based industries
